Promote e-commerce development

Implementing the Son La province's e-commerce development plan for the 2021-2025 period, the Department of Industry and Trade and the Provincial Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center have deployed many programs and activities to promote e-commerce development.

From 2021 to present, the Department of Industry and Trade has organized 11 training courses on e-commerce for hundreds of enterprises, cooperatives, and production and business households in the province. By connecting and inviting famous people and influencers on social networking platforms, it has created conditions for enterprises, cooperatives and business households to exchange knowledge and skills to participate, create booths, and build short videos to promote agricultural products on e-commerce platforms. At the same time, instruct cooperatives and business households on livestream sales skills, video recording, photography, and video editing skills to attract viewers. Thereby promoting and selling on social networking platforms such as Zalo, Facebook, and TikTok. In 2024, the Provincial Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion also organized many programs and training courses on bringing agricultural products to e-commerce platforms and livestreaming online sales for hundreds of people. Thereby equipping businesses, cooperatives and households with knowledge, skills and practice in online sales; promoting the application of digital transformation in agricultural product promotion activities; searching for and expanding consumption markets, opening up new directions for farmers.

Up to now, more than 40 enterprises and cooperatives with 70 agricultural products have been put on domestic and international e-commerce platforms such as Alibaba, buudien.vn, sendo.vn, tiktok shop... contributing to the growth of revenue from goods and consumer services via e-commerce to 8% of the province's total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue in the period 2021-2024./.
