This is an annual activity of the Central Council for Literary and Artistic Theory and Criticism aimed at helping leading officials of provincial and city Party Propaganda Departments in charge of culture and arts; state management officials in culture and arts; leaders of central and local literary and artistic associations; theoretical and critical researchers; reporters and editors of press agencies and publishing houses; lecturers of universities and colleges training in literature and arts... to consolidate and firmly grasp the Party and State's viewpoints and guidelines for the development of culture, literature, and art in response to practical demands, thereby creating profound changes in this field.

This conference was attended by nearly 200 trainees, representing units, provinces, and cities in the northern region and some provinces in the southern region. Among them, Hanoi had 10 trainees.

In his opening remarks, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen The Ky, Chairman of the Central Council for Literary and Artistic Theory and Criticism, emphasized that the training conference "Leadership and Management of Culture and Arts after 50 Years of National Unification, Renovation and Development - Practices and Issues to Consider" aims to implement Plan No. 390-KH/BTGTW, dated November 15, 2023, of the Central Propaganda Department on organizing activities to summarize 50 years of Vietnamese literature and art after national unification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and the guidance of the Central Propaganda Department on implementing Conclusion No. 84/KL/TW of the Politburo on Continuing to Implement Resolution 23-NQ/TƯ on building and developing literature and art in the new era.

Associate Professor, PhD, Chairman of the Central Council for Literary and Artistic Theory and Criticism, presents the first thematic report.

“Following the 15-year review of the Politburo's Resolution 23-NQ/TW (10th term) on continuing to build and develop literature and art in the new era, on June 21, 2024, the Politburo issued Conclusion No. 84-KL/TW on continuing to implement Resolution No. 23-NQ/TƯ. The issuance of this Conclusion demonstrates the Party and State's profound concern for the field of culture and arts, while also reflecting the vibrant, rich, and innovative nature of the field, but also its inherent complexity, especially the negative impacts of the market mechanism; the strong and extensive process of international integration; the digital transformation process; and artificial intelligence (AI). The new era requires propaganda, culture, arts, education and training, press, and publishing agencies to further strengthen theoretical research and systematically and in-depth practical summaries to further enhance the effectiveness of their advisory and consultative work.” "This will help the Party and State at all levels improve their leadership, guidance, and management capabilities, in order to strongly and sustainably develop the country's literature and art in the coming years," Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen The Ky emphasized.
