Launching the Annual Award "Happy Vietnam

National Assembly delegate Tran Thi Thu Dong - President of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists and Mr. Do Duc Hoang, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Television co-chaired the press conference.

Press conference to launch the annual human rights media award called: "Happy Vietnam - Happy Vietnam 2025".

In 2025, Vietnam will make great strides in the happiness index, rising to 46th place in the world , up 8 places compared to 2024 and 19 places compared to 2023. This is an important milestone, demonstrating the world's recognition and appreciation of Vietnam's policies and achievements in ensuring human rights in recent years.

In that spirit, the "Happy Vietnam - Happy Vietnam 2025" Award is organized with the aim of mobilizing the participation of the majority of people in the country, overseas Vietnamese and international friends in creating photos, videos or having creative ideas, telling good stories, meaningful discoveries on the topic of Happy Vietnam, thereby contributing to spreading positive images of the country, Vietnamese people, the precious cultural and historical traditions of the nation or the achievements of socio-economic development of the country to the public at home and abroad, contributing to enhancing the prestige and position of the country in the international arena.

"We organize this Award so that everyone can realize once again that they have happiness that they may not even know. Because there are many people, international friends that I have met, they say that Vietnam has something that many other nations are longing for but do not have, which is peace, independence and a peaceful life. Therefore, we organize every corner, every aspect, every person, every character but leave a sense of pride in our country, in what we have" - Mr. Le Hai Binh shared.

Director of the Department of Grassroots Information and External Information Pham Anh Tuan announced the Plan to organize a series of events, exhibitions and Media Awards on human rights in Vietnam in 2025.

Through the Award, the Organizing Committee wants to convey the message that Vietnam is moving rapidly and developing strongly and comprehensively in all fields: (1) breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation; (2) International integration in the new situation; (3) Innovation in law making and enforcement; (4) Fast, sustainable, effective and high-quality private economic development.

The clearest evidence of the country's achievements in innovation and development and the people's happiness are the authentic, vivid stories in pictures and videos about the above topics created and submitted by the people themselves.

Journalist-Artist Ho Sy Minh, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, Editor-in-Chief of Photography and Life Magazine announced the contest rules.

Authors, whether professional or amateur, Vietnamese or foreign, from 15 years of age and older can participate in the Award. The entries will be carefully selected by the Organizing Committee according to specific and clear criteria, stipulated in the Award Rules and judged fairly and objectively by leading experts, journalists, prestigious photographers and filmmakers in 02 Judging Panels: Preliminary Judging Panel and Final Judging Panel.

Deadline for submissions: From May 22, 2025 to September 30, 2025.
