Vietnam Happy Fest 2025 attracted nearly 400,000 people: A number exceeding expectations.

Lasting for more than two days, with the main event taking place from December 6-7, the Vietnam Happy Fest 2025 yielded positive results and figures.

This was the statement made by Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, Director of the Department of Grassroots Information and External Information (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism), on the morning of December 11th, at the Conference on Providing Information to the Press on Human Rights and External Information in December 2025.

Held on the Ho Hoan Kiem pedestrian street, the event attracted nearly 400,000 visitors from both within and outside the country.

According to Director Pham Anh Tuan, this number is much larger than the number of tourists visiting the Ho Guom pedestrian street on a normal day, estimated at around 50,000 visitors during the week without events and about 300,000-350,000 during the week with events.

The organized activities throughout the year were also enthusiastically received, such as collecting stamps from 34 provinces and cities for the "Map of Happiness in Vietnam," and five photobooths offering instant photos that were continuously packed with people. Along with that were workshops guiding people on capturing beautiful moments, digital interaction, and experiencing what it's like to be a local loudspeaker announcer...

Data from the Department of Grassroots Information and External Information also indicates that they received 10,000 wishes hung on the Tree of Happiness and over 1,000 letters in the "Sending Happiness to Tomorrow" activity. This is a humane activity with heartfelt stories and hopes for a better life.

In particular, two wedding-related activities – the mass wedding of 80 couples titled "Love is Happiness" and the "Hundred Flowers of Joy" recreating weddings from the past – attracted considerable attention from tourists to Ho Guom Lake. Along with these were workshops guiding people on capturing beautiful moments in photographs, and the "Melodies of Happiness" music night connecting the community's emotions...

The event also included the Human Rights Media Awards Ceremony, where 36 photographic (or photo series) and video entries were awarded prizes. The photographs and videos were not only exhibited domestically but also disseminated to many other countries through various direct and online channels.

The Vietnam Happy Festival 2025 campaign also spread widely and strongly on social media. The four campaign hashtags (#NgayhoiVietNamHanhPhuc #VietNamHappyFest2025 #HappyVietnam 2025 and #VietNamHanhPhuc2025) are estimated to have a total of 60-70 million posts and views.

TikTok accounts for the majority with 45-47 million reach and 18-20 million views; Facebook has approximately 7-8 million reach and 4-5 million views; Threads has 1-2 million views and 3-4 million reach… according to statistics from the Department of Grassroots Information and External Information.

"These figures far exceeded initial expectations," said Mr. Pham Anh Tuan. "Vietnam Happy Fest is expected to develop into an annual festival. This year the event was held in Hanoi , and we hope to expand its scale and hold it in Ho Chi Minh City in the future."

The Vietnam Happy Day 2025 is organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the Hanoi People's Committee, the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, and Vietnam Television.

The event is not only a cultural and entertainment activity, but also helps to spread humanitarian values to the world, affirming a peaceful and compassionate Vietnam.
