Huong Do commune is urgently implementing the project "Livelihood Cattle Farming Household Group under the National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction in 2025" with a total support budget of 230 million VND.

The project was implemented in 14 out of 26 villages with the participation of 30 households, including 23 direct beneficiaries: 6 poor households, 11 near-poor households, 2 newly escaped-from-poverty households, and 4 households with disabilities (lacking stable livelihoods, of working age, and capable of working).
The total project cost is 391 million VND. Of this, the State budget provides 230 million VND to supply breeding cattle to participating households (with support ranging from 9-11 million VND per household depending on the target group). The project participants contribute 161 million VND (converted from the funds allocated for constructing barns and purchasing livestock supplies).
Currently, the People's Committee of Huong Do commune (the project management unit) is urgently proceeding with the distribution of breeding cows to beneficiary households, striving to complete the process by December 2025.

The project is expected to contribute to expanding livelihood models suitable to local conditions, creating additional stable income sources for poor, near-poor, and disadvantaged households, while promoting the development of commercial livestock farming by household groups in the area.
The People's Committee of Huong Do commune will continue to monitor and provide technical guidance to participating households to develop the cattle herd effectively and sustainably.
