Information – the “key” to poverty reduction.
The sub-project "Information Poverty Reduction" (under Project 6, National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction giai đoạn 2021-2025) is making a significant contribution to narrowing the information gap in My Hanh commune. As a result, people can easily access knowledge, proactively strive to escape poverty, and achieve sustainable development.

Information is considered a breakthrough in the approach to poverty reduction. If in the past, poor and near-poor households often faced difficulties due to lack of capital and production techniques, now they are given the "key" of information to help people change their perceptions, understand policies and learn good models and effective methods, thereby raising awareness and determination to escape poverty.
His father, mother and sister are all seriously ill, the family's finances depend on Nguyen Truong Giang (born in 1999, residing in Giong Lon hamlet). He shared that his father, Mr. Nguyen Van Khung, was formerly a poor household, he is the son of a martyr.
Thanks to the local authorities' attention, in previous years, his family was supported with 2 breeding cows, which were donated by former President Truong Tan Sang. Later, because of Sang's family's difficult circumstances, My Hanh commune continued to consider supporting 2 breeding cows from the National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction.
Not only taking advantage of the support, he also worked hard, proactively learned, and followed the instructions of the local Party Committee and government in building barns and taking care of the cows. 3 years ago, his family escaped poverty without waiting or relying on the State's support.

His hard-working nature and participation in many training courses helped him gain more knowledge about animal husbandry. After a few years, his family had a stable income and officially escaped poverty. “The government supported me with a “fishing rod”, so I had to know how to “fish”. The officers instructed me on how to build a barn and take care of the cows, and I followed them all. Now the cows are giving birth and making a profit, but to do that, I have to try hard, I can’t wait forever,” he said.
Mr. Giang said that not only did he receive support for breeding cows, but he also found a job in the Xuyen A Industrial Park through information about the labor market provided by the commune. Every day, he traveled about a few dozen kilometers from his home to the cow farm and to the company. Although it was hard, he still tried to work so that his life would be more stable in the future.
“Because my house, the cow farm and the company I work for are far apart, I have to go on several trips a day to manage my work. My father and sister are not mentally sound and need someone to take care of them every day. I also ask relatives to look after me when I go to work. Although my mother is sick, she is still able to work. I thank Mr. Truong Tan Sang and the local government for creating favorable conditions for my family over the years. I will strive to work and learn more experiences to be able to take better care of my father and sister,” Giang shared.
Leaving no one behind
Reality shows that when people have full access to the Party's policies and guidelines, the State's policies and laws, it will be an important "key" to opening up opportunities to escape poverty. The synchronous implementation of information poverty reduction solutions will help people access policies, create fairness in benefits, and ensure social security. Through propaganda, people, especially poor and near-poor households, will know how to choose appropriate production models, know how to apply new scientific and technological advances, and organize production in line with market needs.

After implementing the arrangement of administrative units and operating the 2-level local government model, the direction and operation of the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction for the 2021-2025 period continued to be implemented synchronously and uniformly by My Hanh commune and achieved many positive results.
The development and replication of poverty reduction models have also undergone certain changes and adjustments to suit the reality. Thanks to the diversification of information channels, many poor and near-poor households in the commune have proactively accessed knowledge, learned experiences in cultivation, animal husbandry and effective economic models to apply in production.
The commune synchronously deploys poverty reduction solutions in diverse forms: Officials directly propagate to each household, integrate into meetings, conferences, activities of associations, unions, hamlet meetings, propagate on the loudspeaker system, provide job consultation and vocational training to workers in poor households, near-poor households, and households that have just escaped poverty.
In addition, support and guide the poor to use telecommunications and Internet services to access policies, learn effective business models... as well as grasp people's thoughts and aspirations to provide correct, accurate, and appropriate support, helping them to escape poverty sustainably.
Sustainable poverty reduction is not just about providing material support, but about creating conditions for people to proactively improve their own capabilities. When people have access to complete, transparent, and timely information, they will better understand support programs, know how to find markets for their products, know how to apply new technologies, and confidently change their production models.

According to Vice Chairwoman of the Commune People's Committee Le Thi Ngoc Bich, in recent times, in addition to the mobilization and propaganda work of the Party Committee and government, the proactive participation of the people has created clear changes.
When provided with full information about target programs, especially awareness-raising programs, people understand that to escape poverty, they must be self-reliant and strive to improve themselves, not expect support.
My Hanh commune is a locality with companies and factories, so in addition to supporting information on effective business models, the government also promotes information on the labor market, coordinates, and orients career creation for people and young people of working age to find suitable jobs.
In the coming period, the commune will continue to promote communication programs that reach closer to each household, strengthening direct outreach sessions combined with modern communication methods.
At the same time, promote support for people to use telecommunications services, apply information technology, help the poor, poor households and near-poor to be more proactive in accessing policies, seeking support sources as well as learning experiences and solutions to escape poverty sustainably.
It can be said that the combination of state policies, local efforts, and people's initiatives is creating a significant shift, bringing the goal of multidimensional poverty reduction closer to completion, contributing to building a developed, sustainable society where no one is left behind.
