On the afternoon of November 25th, the Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department held a signing ceremony for a cooperation agreement and a seminar on the comprehensive application of digital transformation technology withFPT Corporation and Vietnam Payment Solutions Corporation (VNPay).

This event affirms the determination to promote comprehensive digital transformation, with the central goal of putting taxpayers at the center of service, marking a new development in the modernization, transparency, effectiveness, and efficiency strategy of the tax authorities in Ho Chi Minh City.

According to Mr. Doan Minh Dung, Head of the Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department, with a management scale of over 436,000 businesses and 365,000 business households, the application of technology and digital transformation is a key solution to address the challenges arising from the explosive growth of the digital economy and the need to streamline the management apparatus.

"Digital transformation is imperative for the tax sector, helping tax authorities optimize resources, improve service quality, and ensure fairness and efficiency in budget revenue management," Mr. Dung said.

The cooperation agreement between Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department, FPT, and VNPay focuses on applying modern technology, especially Artificial Intelligence (AI), to core business processes to analyze risks, accurately and promptly forecast budget revenue; provide tools to support decision-making, and enhance in-depth management capabilities.

Accordingly, Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department is committed to implementing key tasks and creating all favorable conditions for projects to be implemented effectively, bringing practical benefits to taxpayers. At the same time, the Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department will closely cooperate with FPT and VNPay to successfully transfer and apply technological solutions, making a positive contribution to the sustainable development of the city.
