
The event not only provided a vibrant playground for girls who love football but also contributed to promoting the widespread development of women's football in the local area.
In his opening remarks, Mr. Luu Quang Dien Bien, representative of the Vietnam Football Federation, expressed his gratitude to the agencies and units of Dong Thap province for their cooperation and support in making the Festival a success.
He stated that this is a meaningful activity aimed at providing girls with the opportunity to experience football in a joyful and healthy environment, while also contributing to fostering self-confidence, team spirit, perseverance, and a passion for the sport .
According to Mr. Luu Quang Dien Bien, Dong Thap is a locality with a fairly good foundation in school sports movements and possesses great potential to discover and train future female football talents.
Sharing the same view, Mr. Vuong Than Trung, General Secretary of the Dong Thap Football Federation, assessed the Festival as a practical activity that contributes to creating momentum for the development of women's football in the province.
As part of the program, the Vietnam Football Federation presented participating teams with various training and competition equipment such as balls, uniforms, markers, and meaningful gifts for young players.
Immediately after the opening ceremony, the matches took place with great enthusiasm, featuring four clubs: Cao Lanh, Tan Hong, Thuong Phuoc, and Hong Ngu. Each unit registered two teams, divided into two groups.
The matches took place in an exciting, open, and enthusiastic atmosphere. This was not only an opportunity for the children to interact and learn from each other, but also a chance to showcase their talent, skills, and passion for football.
Many young players have impressed with their confident ball handling, good footballing intelligence, and positive competitive spirit.
After exciting matches, Hong Ngu 1 and Thuong Phuoc 2 advanced to the final. With cohesive play and many effective coordinated plays, Hong Ngu 1 secured a convincing 3-0 victory to claim the championship title.
Vo Thi Ngoc Vy shone with a brace of goals, while Le Ngoc Tien scored the remaining goal for Hong Ngu team. Cao Lanh 1 and Cao Lanh 2 teams shared third place.

The 2026 Women's Youth Football Festival in Dong Thap left behind many beautiful images of sportsmanship, confidence, and joy of the young players on the field.
Through this initiative, the Vietnam Football Federation and FIFA continue to spread the message of equal opportunity in sports, while also creating further motivation for localities to pay attention to and invest in women's football from school age.
More than just a football festival, it also serves as a bridge to discover promising talents for the future, contributing to building a successor generation for Vietnamese women's football.
According to the plan, the 2026 Women's Youth Football Festival will continue its journey to Vinh Long on June 15th, promising to bring more meaningful activities and experiential opportunities for young girls who love football in the Mekong Delta region.
