Kuwaiti officials announced the death of Emir Sheikh Nawaf al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah on December 16, but did not specify the cause.
In November, he was hospitalized for emergency treatment due to health problems. At that time, the prince's health had stabilized.
His passing can be considered a great loss to the Middle East region. He was known for his role in mediating conflicts in the area.
