(Dan Tri) - Apple has just launched the MacBook Pro using the new generation M4 chip, but for users who do not have an urgent need, they should not buy a MacBook Pro at this time. The article below will tell you why.
Technology site 9to5Mac quoted Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman predicting that Apple could launch a MacBook Pro with a completely new design in 2026.
Apple has a tradition of changing the design of the MacBook Pro every 4 years. Following this cycle, the MacBook Pro launched next year should have a new design, but Mark Gurman's source said that the MacBook Pro version 2025 will only be upgraded to the M5 chip, but the design will remain the same.

Mark Gurman predicts that it will be 2026 before Apple releases a completely redesigned MacBook Pro equipped with the M6 chip, which will have a huge leap in performance compared to the M4 chip. Mark Gurman calls the 2026 MacBook Pro a "major overhaul" of the MacBook laptop line.
According to Mark Gurman's source, the 2026 MacBook Pro will have a thinner and lighter design, equipped with an OLED screen, which increases brightness and displays more realistic colors, similar to the iPad Pro screen.
Gurman also said that the M6 chip equipped on the MacBook Pro 2026 will be developed on a 2nm process, helping to increase performance and save more energy than the M4 chip developed on a 3nm process.
Previously, at the end of October, Apple officially launched the new generation MacBook Pro laptop, with M4, M4 Pro and M4 Max chip options. The product upgraded the minimum RAM to 16GB, double that of the MacBook Pro launched last year.
Apple says the M4-powered MacBook Pro is up to 3.4 times faster than the M1-powered MacBook Pro from three years ago. The M4 Max and M4 Pro are up to 3 and 3.5 times faster than the M1 Max and M1 Pro, respectively.
The MacBook Pro also has Apple's longest battery life, with 24 hours of use. It also supports fast charging technology, allowing it to charge from 0 to 50% in just 30 minutes.
The starting version of MacBook Pro will have a 14-inch screen option, M4 processor with 10 central processing cores, 10 graphics processing cores, 16GB RAM, 512GB hard drive storage and will cost 40 million VND in Vietnam.
In addition to the internal configuration upgrades, the MacBook Pro 2024 retains the same design as the old version. Therefore, for those who do not have urgent needs, they can wait until 2026 to own a MacBook Pro with a completely new design and superior performance.
Of course, users can also buy a new MacBook Pro now and upgrade to a new MacBook Pro version in 2 years, instead of upgrading to the MacBook Pro version using the M5 chip released next year.
