Werner's unbelievable situation

Leipzig's board of directors hinted that Timo Werner should look for a new destination after returning from Tottenham.

Werner has been in a steady decline over the years.

Leipzig's sporting director Marcel Schafer said of Werner's situation: "We need a breath of fresh air, a new spirit, to regain the vitality and strong energy that is the trademark of this club for next season."

Goal said Leipzig's board no longer rated Werner highly and allowed him to leave in the summer.
