On the morning of October 28, Mr. Truong Van Quy, owner of Sabirama Hoi An restaurant, announced on his personal Facebook page that his house currently has 4 vacant rooms that are not flooded and can accommodate 25-30 people. Anyone interested can contact him to arrange a car to pick them up for accommodation and free meals during the rainy and flood days.

After the above information, some people contacted Mr. Quy to be arranged safe accommodation.

Or Ms. Le Thi Anh, owner of Le Anh bakery (Dien Ban Dong ward) is also busy baking hundreds of cakes along with drinks and fruits to send to Quang Nam Regional General Hospital (Dien Ban ward) to support patients and relatives taking care of them there.

According to Ms. Anh, although the value of the gift is not large, it is very convenient at a time when the hospital is isolated by floodwaters.

Since the afternoon of October 27, when floodwaters flooded, many areas of Dien Ban town and Hoi An city (old) were deeply flooded. Mr. Nguyen Tan Cuong, Chairman of Hoi An Ward People's Committee, said that the support of philanthropists during the current flood season is very meaningful and practical, thereby creating a good impression in the hearts of locals and tourists.

Faced with the complicated developments of floods and rains, from the afternoon of October 27, Hoi An ward deployed rescue measures and supported residents and tourists residing in the area.

Specifically, in addition to announcing the hotline phone numbers of members of the Flood and Storm Prevention Steering Committee for residents and tourists to contact in case of emergency, the ward has arranged 10 motorboats and rowing boats (with free support of instant noodles and drinking water) ready to transport residents and tourists to safety when requested.

In low-lying areas, basic preparation and response work is ensured and strictly adheres to the "4 on-the-spot" motto.

According to Mr. Bui Van Dung, Chairman of Hoi An Tay Ward People's Committee, the locality has stepped up propaganda to ensure safety and prepared rescue plans.

Since the evening of October 27, the locality has deployed many forces to assist in evacuating people and tourists in difficulty in the heavily flooded area. To date, about 120 cases have been moved to safety, most of them are the elderly, children, and sick people.

On the evening of October 28, Hoi An Tay continued to organize two delegations to directly grasp the situation and promptly support food and provisions for the people.

Meanwhile, Hoi An Dong ward transported nearly 300 tourists staying at low-lying hotels to higher ground or to a convenient location to go to the airport to return home.
