Vinh Long city center and surrounding areas
Continue to promote the value of national-level historical relics in the area to attract tourists, especially the Van Thanh Temple Festival in Vinh Long City, which was included in the list of National Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2024.
Recently, the tourism industry has been trying to revitalize its tour products by incorporating traditional Vietnamese opera (hat boi) performances at the Van Thanh Temple cultural space, creating a positive impression on tourists. It has also been highly praised in famtrip programs.

During the period 2022-2024, tourism businesses in Vinh Long City continued to improve service quality, resulting in the organization of numerous conferences and seminars from within and outside the province and region, attracting tourists – MICE tourism (over 30 events).
Many tourism events and recreational activities organized in Vinh Long City attract a large number of people and tourists, such as: the 2nd and 3rd Vinh Long Provincial Tourism Festivals; traditional folk music performances on the river; hot air balloon and flyboard demonstrations; the opening of the T&T pedestrian street; annual celebrations of the Party and the Lunar New Year; provincial and regional sports competitions, etc.
Many projects serving tourism development have been put into operation, contributing to the development of tourism in the area, such as: the longest red ceramic and flower road in Vietnam; the musical fountain park in Ward 9, Vinh Long City; Vinh Long passenger port; the largest traditional three-bay, two-wing house made entirely of red ceramic in Vietnam; the ceramic house and miniature red ceramic landscape at Vinh Long passenger port, etc.
These activities, integrated into major cultural events of the province, create positive effects and attract a large number of tourists from near and far.
The island communes of Long Ho district
Ecotourism and homestay resorts continue to be identified as key products of Vinh Long in recent years. In 2023, homestays in An Binh commune won the ASEAN Homestay Award, marking the third time homestays on the island of An Binh commune have won the award, affirming Vinh Long's status as the "cradle" of homestays in the region.

Successfully organizing the ASEAN Homestay Award Ceremony for homestays contributed to promoting the local tourism brand.
In addition, CocoHome Coconut House - a tourist attraction of the province (in 2021) - won the Vietnam Coconut House Award in 2023, and is one of the 50 typical tourist destinations of Ho Chi Minh City and the provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta region in 2024; Vinh Sang Tourist Area was recognized as a tourist destination of the province in 2022. These are highlights that attract an increasing number of tourists to An Binh commune's islet.
Besides refining and improving the quality of existing tourism products, the locality has recently coordinated with relevant sectors to conduct surveys in preparation for building community-based tourism models in the area. Currently, the locality has developed several new products such as: Traditional Cake Week; Garden Library associated with tourist attractions; and Torchlight procession on coconut leaves to watch traditional opera.
Homestays are recognized as a traditional strength, a product line that has existed for over four decades. Therefore, businesses are constantly striving to innovate, upgrade products, and diversify services to attract new customers while also encouraging tourists to stay longer.
There is a need to further enhance nighttime services, which are considered too poor – this is also a common weakness of the region and of domestic tourism as a whole. We lack diverse activities, especially at night, that would provide tourists with entertainment, leisure, and spending options during their stay in the area.
