Mr. Vu Van Thanh, General Director of Hoa Sen Group Joint Stock Company (Hoa Sen Group), has just spoken out to refute inaccurate information regarding allegations that his subsidiary, Hoa Sen Steel Sheet Company Limited (Hoa Sen Steel Sheet), has not paid land lease fees at the Tax Department of Region XVI (Binh Duong province).
According to the information disclosure document submitted by Mr. Thanh to the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, Hoa Sen Group received two notices regarding tax arrears. However, after reviewing the records, the company affirmed that it had fulfilled its tax obligations and no longer owed any taxes to the State budget as stated in the notices. Therefore, the company sent a document requesting the Binh Duong Provincial Tax Department to correct the information.
Products of Hoa Sen Group
According to Hoa Sen Group, on February 13th, Hoa Sen Steel Sheet Company Limited received Notice No. 6608/TB-CTBDU-KDT from the Binh Duong Provincial Tax Department regarding the amount of tax owed to the State budget.
On February 26th, Hoa Sen Group submitted a document requesting an adjustment to the late payment penalties for corporate income tax and personal income tax.
Nevertheless, on April 18th, the company received Notice No. 7938 from the Tax Department of Region XVI regarding a tax debt of 762 million VND. In response, Hoa Sen Group affirmed that it had fulfilled its tax obligations and had no outstanding tax debts according to the tax authority's data system.
To ensure accurate information and avoid damaging the company's reputation, on May 5th, Hoa Sen Group sent a letter requesting the Tax Department of Region XVI to check, compare, and update the tax data of Hoa Sen Steel Company.
