At a press conference on the afternoon of December 16th in Hanoi , Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, Le Thi Anh Mai, stated that the transformation from Hanoi's 36 old streets to a Hanoi with expanded administrative boundaries, imbued with the culture of the Doai region, has made Hanoi's culture in general, and its cuisine in particular, rich and diverse. Since 2014, the city has conducted an inventory of intangible cultural heritage, identifying and including hundreds of culinary heritage items in the city's catalog.
"The registration of intangible cultural heritage in the National List is not only about honoring heritage values but also about effectively protecting, promoting, and transforming heritage into assets and resources for sustainable development of the cultural industry, contributing to improving the local economy," emphasized Ms. Le Thi Anh Mai.

The Hanoi Food and Culture Festival 2025 offers a variety of activities with 60 spaces showcasing Hanoi cuisine and regional food products.
