Tottenham are sinking deeper into crisis. |
On talkSPORT , former Tottenham player Jamie O'Hara became the focus of an awkward situation. During the live radio show, his co-host, Jason Cundy, a Chelsea fan, repeatedly teased Spurs as the team went through a crisis.
Cundy even appeared wearing a mask of coach Ange Postecoglou, adding to the tension in the studio. When the debate shifted to whether coach Igor Tudor had the ability to turn things around, O'Hara clearly showed his displeasure.
After a few minutes of arguing, the former Spurs midfielder said continuing the program was "pointless," called his colleague an "idiot," and then stood up and left the studio.
Former Aston Villa striker Gabby Agbonlahor reposted an old video of O'Hara from a US dating show, where he introduced himself as "a very famous football player from England." Agbonlahor commented that Tottenham players might have to explain themselves similarly when the team has to play in the Championship next summer.

Spurs are in danger of relegation. |
On social media, many rival fans sarcastically remarked that the North London team "always knows how to disappoint at the right time," while a number of neutral fans mocked the inconsistent form of Igor Tudor's side. A flurry of sarcastic comments spread, ranging from calling Spurs "unwilling relegation candidates" to images ridiculing the team's lackluster performances.
Even a section of Tottenham fans have expressed disappointment, arguing that the team is in decline and needs drastic changes if it doesn't want to fall further down the table.
The atmosphere in the stands was no better. Television cameras repeatedly panned to the dejected Tottenham fans. One man was filmed sitting alone after most of the spectators had left the stadium. Upon realizing he was on screen, he immediately raised his middle finger.
The defeat against Crystal Palace therefore not only plunged Tottenham further into their professional crisis, but it also turned the North London team into a subject of ridicule on many fronts, from radio studios and social media to their own stadiums.
