The conference is organized by ward and commune clusters, reporting to voters the results of handling petitions at the previous conference; summarizing the socio -economic situation in the past 6 months, and some key tasks for the next 6 months. There will be old stories that continue to be mentioned, and some new stories that arise in the residential area. Therefore, the conference always seems to have "something to talk about". People speak for the government to absorb, the government speaks for the people to grasp.

Typically, at the 23rd conference, the City People's Committee reported the results of resolving opinions and recommendations through the 22nd dialogue. The locality requested Chau Doc Electricity to fix and repair the tilted electric poles on the intra-field road, Chau Long 8 hamlet; assigned the Urban Order Management Team to fix the collapsed and sunken manhole covers on Nguyen Tri Phuong Street and some roads in Chau Phu B Ward. The Center for Culture, Sports and Broadcasting has replaced the flags and flags at the welcome gate on Ton Duc Thang Street, ensuring urban aesthetics. The Department of Economics, Infrastructure and Urban Affairs coordinated with other sectors to survey and replace traffic signs in Vinh My Ward in accordance with the actual situation; periodically survey every quarter and continue to promptly replace them.

People in Chau Phu A ward requested to repair the damaged and locally flooded Cu Tri road. This road belongs to National Highway 91C, managed by the Department of Transport (now the Department of Construction). The City People's Committee has a written report, and the Department of Construction has completed the repair and patching. People in Vinh Chau commune requested to install signs prohibiting overloading on rural roads; to strengthen inspection and handling of vehicles participating in traffic that exceed the load capacity, causing damage to the road surface. The Urban Order Management Team has installed signs prohibiting 6 tons of load capacity at Vinh Chau commune square, internal roads of canals 5, 10, 12, etc.

At the 23rd dialogue, people were still concerned about investing in upgrading and repairing some roads that are severely damaged, affecting travel; the situation of slaughtering livestock in violation of regulations; early issuance of land use right certificates; health insurance examination and treatment being stuck due to transmission errors; more solutions to improve people's lives... Mr. Huynh Thanh Hung (61 years old, residing in Vinh Te commune) was upset: "In Cay Cham hamlet, there are 2 road sections that are often degraded, making it very difficult for students to go to school during the rainy season. The same goes for the commune health station, which has to cover its machinery when it rains, affecting the examination and treatment process. We hope these issues will be resolved soon."

Each opinion and recommendation of the people was answered by the specialized sector and the People's Committee at the ward level right at the conference. For issues that need to be verified, verified, and are personal, the locality will make an appointment with the people to work privately, requesting them to provide documents and papers as a basis for consideration and specific answers. The content of the public response is supplemented with many perspectives from the grassroots to the city level, helping people better understand the local handling process, the difficulties and obstacles they are facing. The Standing Committee of Chau Doc City Party Committee requested the leaders of the communes and wards to continue to coordinate with the city's departments, branches and sectors to survey and develop a comprehensive plan for medium-term public investment to repair degraded roads; strengthen inspection and punishment of people and vehicles violating road load. Households must make a commitment not to illegally slaughter livestock; quickly go to the scene to make a record and handle the case as soon as the people provide information; have a direction to strictly handle households that deliberately re-offend...

The dialogue conference is also an opportunity for local authorities to promptly inform the Party and State of new policies and guidelines. This time, the key issue is to highlight the benefits of arranging ward-level administrative units, eliminating district levels... so that voters and people can clearly understand, agree, and actively contribute to building a new local government after the merger. Vice Chairman of Chau Doc City People's Committee Huynh Buu Toan mobilized people to contribute to amending the 2013 Constitution: "The National Assembly will organize to collect people's opinions from May 6 to June 5, on the VNeID application. People can open the application on their phones and follow the instructions or ask ward and commune officials for support. Each person and the community are responsible for raising the contribution rate of Chau Doc City to the highest level".

After this conference, there will be local leaders who will complete their dedication and return to normal life; there will be comrades who will continue to work, but in new positions. Therefore, many messages and thanks were expressed, such as Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Chau Doc City Cao Xuan Ba shared: "We would like to thank the people for taking the time to attend the conference. Over the past 12 years, the people have paid attention and proposed many valuable and practical ideas to build their homeland. From these ideas, the local government promptly grasped, focused on handling, reported back, and received consensus and agreement from the people".

The 23rd dialogue session ended with a farewell and a date for the next meeting. Chau Doc City Party Secretary Lam Quang Thi emphasized: “This is the last dialogue under the name of Chau Doc City. Similar conferences will still take place in the future, but at the ward level. We hope that, regardless of the change in administrative units, people will continue to make practical contributions to their homeland, regardless of this ward or that ward.”
