According to a report from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training on the afternoon of June 11th, at the Ly Thuong Kiet Secondary School examination center (Binh Tri Dong ward), three Literature exam papers had technical errors during the printing process. The examination board promptly opened the backup papers in accordance with regulations.
Due to the considerable distance between the storage location of the backup exam papers and the examination room, the transportation and distribution of new papers took approximately 3-5 minutes. To ensure the rights of the affected candidates, the examination board leaders decided to compensate the three affected students with extra time.
Besides the exam paper issue, several other unusual incidents were also recorded during the first exam session. Specifically, at the Long Truong Secondary School exam center, one candidate had to be hospitalized due to health problems. The exam center assisted in transporting the candidate to a medical facility and guided the school in carrying out the procedures for special consideration according to regulations.
At the same examination center, a candidate fainted immediately after receiving the exam paper. After receiving medical attention and recovering, the candidate returned to the examination room to continue the test but was not given any extra time.
Meanwhile, at the Nguyen Du Secondary School examination center (Tan Thoi Hoa ward), a student omitted page 2 of the exam paper and started working from page 3. The examination board instructed the student to close the omitted page and continue working according to regulations. The entire incident was recorded in an unusual report.
Regarding the Literature exam, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training stated that the exam on the morning of June 11th proceeded smoothly. Across the city, 505 out of a total of 138,311 candidates were absent, representing a rate of 0.36%.
