According to statistics from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, the 10th grade entrance exam in Ho Chi Minh City had 76,435 candidates taking the exam (a decrease of 27,330 students compared to last year). Meanwhile, the total enrollment target for 10th grade of 115 public high schools was 70,000 students, achieving an admission rate of nearly 92%.

The exam takes place on June 6 and 7. Candidates will take three subjects: Math, Literature, and Foreign Language. Candidates will take the exam for specialized classes, and will also take an additional test corresponding to 150 minutes on the afternoon of June 7.
According to the plan of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, the 10th grade entrance exam board in 2025 in Ho Chi Minh City will work from June 11 to June 16.
It is expected that from June 18 to 20, the examination board will review and compare the exam results with the results on the computer.
The Department is expected to announce exam scores on June 23.
The admission score is the total score of the three exams and additional points for priority subjects (if any). Successful candidates must take all three exams and not have any exam with a score of 0 or be suspended from the exam.
Students can register for 3 choices to enter a regular high school. If they are admitted to a choice, they must study in that choice.
The admission score for specialized classes is the total score: Literature + Foreign Language + Math + (specialized subject score x2).
