According to statistics from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, the 10th grade entrance exam in Ho Chi Minh City had 76,435 candidates (a decrease of 27,330 compared to the previous year). Meanwhile, the total enrollment quota for 10th grade in 115 public high schools is 70,000 students, achieving an acceptance rate of nearly 92%.

The exam took place on June 6th and 7th. Candidates took exams in three subjects: Mathematics, Literature, and Foreign Language. Candidates applying for specialized or integrated classes also took an additional exam, lasting 150 minutes, on the afternoon of June 7th.
According to the plan of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, the grading committee for the 2025 10th grade entrance exam in Ho Chi Minh City will work from June 11th to June 16th.
It is expected that from June 18th to 20th, the examination board will conduct a review of the exam papers, comparing the results with the computer-generated results.
The Department is expected to announce the exam results on June 23rd.
The admission score is the sum of the scores from the three exams plus any bonus points for priority groups (if applicable). Successful candidates must have taken all three exams and not received a score of 0 or been disqualified from any exam.
Students can register for three preferences for regular high schools. If they are accepted into any of their preferred schools, they must attend that school.
The admission score for specialized classes is the total score: Literature + Foreign Language + Mathematics + (specialized subject score x2).
