Ho Chi Minh City lowers prices to stimulate tourism.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Association, is implementing a domestic tourism stimulus program starting in June and lasting until the end of this year, with nearly 260 tour programs and 280,000 discounted tickets offering reductions of 10-70%.

Mr. Bui Ta Hoang Vu, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, said that this program launches many new products, aiming to enhance the experience for tourists with cultural, heritage, culinary, and health-related products, along with competitively priced tour packages, contributing to changing the perception and hesitant mindset of tourists after the pandemic. “Participating in the stimulus program are not only businesses but also tourism leaders from various provinces and local tourism associations. This demonstrates the close collaboration in building and promoting new products, which is an inevitable trend to create inter-regional and inter-route products,” Mr. Vu shared.

Introducing the preparations for the program, Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, said that so far 40 accommodation establishments have participated, offering many special experience packages for group tours or family groups. These include several outstanding programs such as "A Day as a Junior Chef at a 5-Star Hotel," "Experience a 5-Star Heritage Hotel," and "Master Chef Class"... Participating hotels are offering over 200,000 discounted room nights with savings of 22-68% and complimentary services such as airport transfers, spa treatments, and laundry. Restaurants and transportation companies (air, sea, and land) are also participating with discounts of 30-55%, and especially a super-stimulus promotion with 2.5 million tickets starting from just 8,000 VND across Vietjet Air's entire network, available for unlimited purchase during the three golden days from June 9th to 11th.

Commenting on the correct direction of this program, Mr. Tran Hung Viet, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Association, said that the high number of tourists traveling from Ho Chi Minh City to other provinces and from other provinces to Ho Chi Minh City will provide objective experiences and positive information for airlines and travel companies to bring tourists to Vietnam in general and Ho Chi Minh City in particular.
