According to Dr. Nguyen Phan Tu Dung, Director of JW Korean General Hospital, after 15 years of operation in the field of cosmetic surgery, the hospital has observed a significant change in the treatment landscape, with an increasing number of older patients, complex medical conditions, and many cases with multiple underlying diseases and high risk factors. This reality demands a comprehensive healthcare model capable of multidisciplinary coordination, risk control, and ensuring a high level of treatment safety.

With the approval and licensing of the Ministry of Health , JW officially transformed into a multi-specialty hospital from January 2026. Following this transformation, the hospital expanded its operations to include 11 key specialties, combining comprehensive healthcare and aesthetics according to Korean standards. These specialties include: musculoskeletal disorders, general internal medicine, general surgery, urology, oncology treatment, longevity medicine, ENT, plastic surgery, dentistry, dermatology and skincare, health screening, and cancer screening.
At the ceremony, Dr. Duong Huy Luong, Deputy Director of the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management, assessed that after 15 years of formation and development, from a humble beginning, JW Korean Hospital has achieved many remarkable results and gained the trust of a large number of patients.
He suggested that after transitioning to a new model, the hospital should continue to improve the quality of medical examination and treatment in both professional expertise and management; regularly update and apply advanced treatment techniques, helping domestic patients access high-quality medical services. At the same time, it should serve diverse patient groups, ensure equity in access to medical services, and aim towards an international hospital model, developing medical tourism .
