Thien Dang Stage has participated in the project "Ear To Eye" - a humane initiative initiated by the Hello Sunbox art group, with the support of the Goethe Institute Ho Chi Minh City. This is a project for vulnerable audiences, especially the visually impaired.
Message about sharing spirit
This special project is creating strong empathy, opening up a space for the visually impaired to access the stage, where they are no longer outside the boundaries of vision, but can enter the world of the play through touch, hearing and emotion. There are artists, like Meritorious Artist Thanh Loc, who not only perform on stage but also live out their role as a guide for beauty and sharing.
Not stopping at spreading emotions, Meritorious Artist Thanh Loc and musician Truong Khoa sponsored theater tickets for the visually impaired. The work of the two artists not only helped to light up the joy of special audiences, but also conveyed a message about the sharing spirit of true artists. Through that, they received the response of the public, and artist friends joined hands to contribute to this project.

For visually impaired audiences, "watching" plays is not an easy journey, but thanks to companions like Hello Sunbox, Meritorious Artist Thanh Loc, and musician Truong Khoa - they are given the opportunity to live with art, to be moved, to imagine, to laugh and to cry.
Feeling from sound
The Hello Sunbox team and volunteers created a detailed stage model - where the blind could "touch" to visualize the space. They also supported the description of each movement, light, costume, and action on stage through personal headphones. Every detail, no matter how small, was carefully taken care of - as if giving the audience a world of art they had never entered before.
Indeed, blind audiences can access the play through a miniature stage model, allowing them to use their hands to touch and visualize the artistic layout and set space. Throughout the play, each audience member wears their own listening device, and someone explains each movement, light, scene change, character expression, etc. gently and continuously. They do not "see" with their eyes, but "see" with a complete sense of sound, image, and emotion.
Meritorious Artist Ca Le Hong expressed that the project "From Ear to Eye" was born from the concern that blind people cannot "watch plays" in the usual way, but they can completely feel art through hearing and touch, if they have appropriate support.
Thien Dang Stage, Hello Sunbox Art Group and Goethe Institute Ho Chi Minh City have coordinated to organize 2 special performances exclusively for the visually impaired, with a maximum audience of 5 people/time to ensure the quality of the experience. "I am very excited and highly appreciate this project of Thien Dang Stage" - Meritorious Artist Ca Le Hong shared.
The companionship of artists at Thien Dang Stage - from actors to backstage staff - demonstrates a commitment to the stage's social mission, where art is not only performed to shine but also to touch lives that need to be heard and shared.
Meritorious Artist Thanh Loc confided: "I have witnessed young blind people laughing, crying, and being moved by each performance. That moment made us understand that art is not just to see, but also to feel with the heart."
