Thanks to the propaganda and mobilization of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the people of Phu Thanh village agreed to donate land and assets on the land to widen the road from 3.2m to 6m.
Coming to Minh Loc commune these days, one can clearly see the changes because each road leading to residential areas has been concreted, on both sides of the road are flower bushes competing to show their colors, or solidly built houses interspersed with model gardens that have been renovated by the people themselves. This is the "sweet fruit" from the high determination of the entire political system and the people, in which the Fatherland Front plays a very important role.
Chairman of the Minh Loc Commune Fatherland Front Committee Le Xuan Luu said: The Commune Fatherland Front Committee and its member organizations have coordinated well in propagating the New Rural Construction with many diverse and rich forms such as through meetings of residential areas, unions, loudspeakers... with concise, easy-to-understand content, attracting the participation of the masses. Throughout the implementation process, the Commune Fatherland Front has guided mass organizations to carry out the New Rural Construction tasks with specific actions such as expanding rural roads, planting flowers and ornamental plants on both sides of the road, creating a bright, green, clean and beautiful landscape.
In addition, it is necessary to strengthen the mobilization of people to participate in donating land, supporting working days, construction materials for rural roads, building cultural houses, essential infrastructure for life, production, and lighting. In particular, implementing Directive No. 25-CT/HU of the Standing Committee of Hau Loc District Party Committee on the campaign for people to donate land to invest in renovating, upgrading, and improving infrastructure, focusing on roads in rural and urban areas in the district in a synchronous and modern direction, the Party Executive Committee of Minh Loc commune issued Resolution No. 23-NQ/DU on the campaign for people to donate land to invest in renovating, upgrading, and improving infrastructure, focusing on roads in rural areas in the commune in the period of 2024-2025 and the period of 2026-2030.
Phu Thanh village is a bright spot in the movement to donate land to expand traffic routes. Party cell secretary and head of the village's front work committee, Pham Thi Giang, shared: "To get the people to believe and follow, cadres and party members must be exemplary in all work, from contributing money, donating land to build traffic routes... Therefore, when implementing the work, people actively responded. To expand the traffic route with a length of more than 900m, from 3.2m to 6.5m wide, through the propaganda of the front cadres, households in the village donated nearly 1,300m2 of land, demolished gates, fences... With the consensus of 84 households, in a short time, the road has basically completed the asphalt paving, built a drainage system, the contractor is completing the installation of high-voltage power lines, rebuilding gates, fences for households.
By June 2025, after more than 1 year of implementing Resolution No. 23-NQ/DU, 238 households in Minh Loc commune voluntarily donated nearly 3,900m2 of residential land, nearly 3,600m2 of agricultural land; 148 households moved back 257m of fence; built nearly 8.6km of drainage ditches in residential areas; installed nearly 7.2km of lighting lines, 65 cameras... with a total value of more than 31 billion VND. From this land donation, many roads have been expanded and newly built, facilitating trade and promoting the process of new rural construction.
Implementing Directive No. 22-CT/TU of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on the Campaign to support housing construction for poor households, policy households, and households with housing difficulties in the province in the two years 2024-2025, the Commune Fatherland Front has propagated and mobilized cadres, civil servants, public employees, philanthropists, businesses and people in the area to support 2 poor households to build new houses.
According to Chairman of Minh Loc Commune People's Committee Doan Van Nga, "The Fatherland Front and its member organizations have deeply demonstrated their role in representing the will and aspirations of the people through activities to monitor the implementation of new rural construction. Through organizing the collection of opinions and satisfaction of the people, there has been a positive change in awareness, raising the sense of responsibility and the role of the subject in participating in the implementation of new rural construction; movements and models have also been widely deployed and created a strong spread, contributing to bringing 4/8 villages to the "finish line" of model new rural villages, Minh Loc basically completed the criteria of advanced new rural communes".
