Tran Thanh starts filming Tet movie 2026

Rabbit!!, Tran Thanh's 2026 Tet movie project in the drama-psychological genre has just officially started filming.

After the humorous work The Four Guardians released on Tet 2025, Tran Thanh promises to continue to bring new flavors to the audience on Tet 2026.

This is the next work Tran Thanh collaborates with the distributor Galaxy Studio, after the success of Bo Gia and Bo Tu Bao Thu. HKFilm also participates in this project.

Sharing about his passionate project for the Year of the Horse, director Tran Thanh said: “I hope Tho oi!! will be a youthful, dynamic movie with a young, new, and enthusiastic cast. We will welcome the Tet season with many emotions through a familiar but equally interesting story.”

Rabbit!! is the 5th film project that Tran Thanh has directed and is also his 4th Tet film.

Tran Thanh's previous works, although always causing controversy, were all resounding successes at the box office.

Godfather was released in March 2021 and earned more than 420 billion VND.

Coming to Mrs. Nu's House , premiered on Tet 2023, achieved revenue of 475 billion VND.

Mai was released during the 2024 Tet season and earned more than 550 billion VND, becoming the highest-grossing Vietnamese film in history.

However, with The Four Guardians, many critics say that Tran Thanh has regressed in both quality and revenue. The film shown during Tet 2025 earned more than 330 billion VND.
