These works reflect diverse aspects of Buddhism in life, from missionary work and social charity to cultural heritage preservation, stories about mindful living, and Buddhist moral values. The works are imbued with the spirit of the times and the essence of Buddhist teachings.

Venerable Thich Gia Quang shared that the Organizing Committee is delighted to congratulate and honor the outstanding contributions of the collective, individuals, and teams of journalists to Buddhist media and journalism in general, and also congratulates the authors, groups of authors, and media organizations whose works won awards.

The Venerable Monk emphasized that the first National Buddhist Press Award is an important milestone, not only in the communication work of the Buddhist Sangha but also as the starting point of professional communication about Buddhism, contributing to conveying the message of Buddhism to modern social life.

According to the Venerable Monk, Buddhist media is not only a means of propagating the Dharma but also a messenger of compassion and wisdom, contributing to building a healthy, virtuous, and humane society. The award ceremony, coinciding with the preparations for the 100th anniversary of Vietnamese Revolutionary Journalism (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025), once again affirms the spirit of engagement, harmony, and development of Vietnamese Buddhism in the new era.

Launching the 2025 Buddhist Journalism Award

Following the success of the first award, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha is launching the 2025 Buddhist Journalism Award to recognize and honor the contributions of journalists in communicating about Buddhism.

The award aims to introduce and promote the achievements and accomplishments of Vietnamese Buddhism, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, and the community of monks, nuns, and Buddhist followers in the process of national construction and development.

Through this, exemplary individuals who exemplify virtuous living and contribute to the propagation of the true Dharma are discovered. The award also aims to encourage and motivate monks, nuns, and Buddhist followers to work together and contribute even more to the development of Buddhism, building religious unity, and accompanying the nation.

The competition also serves as an opportunity to encourage and motivate Buddhist journalists and media professionals to exchange professional experiences and improve the quality and effectiveness of journalistic information in the field of religion in general, and Buddhism in particular.
