, has set out key tasks and main targets; including: Converting low-value forestry trees such as (acacia, eucalyptus) to higher-value trees such as (cinnamon, pine, sandalwood, cypress... and other large timber species) to gradually create a large enough raw material area for deep processing and export. This is not only a change in crop selection but also a strong shift in people's thinking about forestry economic development.

Faced with the fact that acacia trees bring low economic efficiency, short cycle, cause soil degradation and water resource depletion, Ba Che commune has identified cinnamon tree development as a strategic, long-term and sustainable direction. The commune focuses on propagating and mobilizing people to convert low-yield acacia forest area to planting large timber forests and native trees; at the same time, it determines the socio-economic development target for the period 2025-2030, striving to reduce 30% of acacia area, expand cinnamon growing area to 5,000 hectares by 2030.
Thanks to good propaganda and mobilization work, people realized that growing cinnamon brings many times higher economic efficiency, so they have invested in growing this native tree. Up to now, people in the commune have planted more than 1,000 hectares of cinnamon; on average, 1 hectare of cinnamon brings 3-4 times more income than acacia; the entire trunk, branches, and leaves can be used to sell to businesses processing essential oils and cinnamon powder.
With the support and creation of the most favorable conditions by the local Party Committee and government, Ba Che Cinnamon One Member Co., Ltd. with experience in the field of planting, processing and consuming cinnamon products, the enterprise has implemented the "4-house" linkage model (State - Scientists - Farmers - Enterprises), supporting planting techniques, care, harvesting and long-term product consumption at stable prices.
In particular, these days, the unit is urgently completing the facilities, factory system, and production line of the cinnamon product processing factory in Nam Kim village, Ba Che commune with a total capital of 40 billion VND. It is expected that the factory will be put into operation at the end of December. The factory not only purchases raw materials from the people but also deeply processes products such as essential oils, cinnamon powder, medicinal herbs and spices for export, creating jobs for dozens of local workers and contributing significantly to the industrial production value of the commune.

Although not yet in operation, the unit has organized the purchase of cinnamon leaves and branches for local people. These are products that cinnamon growers used to trim every year for the trees to grow and develop, but discarded without bringing economic value. With a purchase price of 2-2.5 thousand VND per kg of cinnamon branches and leaves, it has brought a significant source of income to the people. Thus, with multi-purpose efficiency, both as a large tree and for harvesting the entire bark, trunk, leaves and branches, all can be used to sell to businesses processing essential oils and cinnamon powder. Mrs. Ban Thi Tu, Nam Kim village (Ba Che commune) excitedly said. In the past, our people planted cinnamon, when pruning branches, we just threw them away. Now that there is a cinnamon essential oil factory that buys from branches and leaves onwards, our people are very happy and excited. Because of taking care of cinnamon trees, cinnamon branches and leaves do not have to be thrown away like before, but now they are brought to sell to the factory. This brings very high economic efficiency.
The policy of expanding the cinnamon planting area to replace short-term acacia trees will create sustainable livelihoods for people to develop the economy and get rich on their homeland. It will open a new direction for the agriculture and forestry sector of Ba Che commune, affirming the locality's determination to effectively exploit the potential of the forest.
