On the afternoon of April 14th, the Hoa Binh Commune Police (Cho Moi District) announced that they are coordinating with the professional departments of the Provincial Police to continue investigating and handling the case of Doan Hoang Do (born in 1995, residing in Thoi An Hamlet, My Thanh Ward, Long Xuyen City) after he committed theft and fled, but was subsequently arrested.

The suspect, Do, was driving the stolen vehicle from Hoa An commune towards Hoa Binh commune.

According to initial information, at approximately 12:30 PM on the same day, the police received a tip from the public about a suspected thief in the An Luong hamlet (Hoa Binh commune). The Hoa Binh commune police quickly deployed forces to apprehend the suspect. Upon spotting the police, the suspect fled into a nearby house, changed clothes to disguise himself in an attempt to mislead the authorities, and hid in a nearby mango orchard, posing as a local resident.

However, during the search, the suspect exhibited suspicious behavior. A quick verification revealed that the suspect was not a local resident. Realizing his actions had been exposed, the suspect fled and attempted to steal a motorcycle with license plate 67M1-174.80 parked in a resident's yard to escape. However, using professional tactics, the police quickly apprehended him and brought him to the station.

Through questioning and investigation, the suspect Do confessed to having just stolen a motorcycle with license plate 65M2-0559 in Hoa An commune (Hoa An commune police are currently investigating). While traveling to Hoa Binh commune, he broke into a house and stole three more bags of nylon packaging, the kind used for storing agricultural products (each bag worth approximately 900,000 VND), before being discovered and apprehended.
