Attending and directing the meeting were Major General Nguyen Huy Hoang, Deputy Head of the Political Department of Military Region 3; and Colonel Nguyen Dinh Khiem, Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of Division 395. Also present were Ms. Ngo Thi Mai Linh, Secretary of the Hai Ha District Youth Union; Mr. Phan Thanh Lao, Chairman of the Hai Ha District Veterans Association; members of the Party Committee and command of the Regiment; representatives from the Mass Mobilization Department, Political Department of Military Region 3; and representatives from the Political Department of the Division.
Also in attendance were the commanders of the four Regimental agencies and more than 200 officers, non-commissioned officers, and soldiers representing the entire Regiment; representatives of the families of officers and non-commissioned officers of the Regiment; and representatives of the affiliated unit.
In a democratic, open, and frank atmosphere, during the discussion, many young officers focused on analyzing and clarifying issues that impact their thoughts, feelings, will, aspirations, motivations, and ability to contribute.
The opinions expressed in the discussion also pointed out that young officers are the core force in grassroots work, but sometimes they have not clearly demonstrated their capabilities and vision. They often face a lot of pressure, especially the pressure from the nature of their profession, which often involves working far from home and family, leaving them with little time to care for loved ones. In the context of sharply rising consumer prices, the current income of young officers is still low, failing to meet the minimum needs compared to the general standard of living in society.
During the discussion, many opinions affirmed that the prevailing trend among young officers is to overcome difficulties and strive to fulfill their duties in order to contribute. From this, many comrades have taken measures to help each other overcome difficulties, master themselves in the face of the negative impacts of the market economy , and contribute more, nurturing their aspirations and demonstrating unwavering loyalty to the Party, the Fatherland, and the people, ready to fight and ready to sacrifice for the goal of national independence and socialism.
Concluding the seminar, Lieutenant Colonel Tran Kim Trong, Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of the Regiment, emphasized that the young officers and cadres constitute a large and dynamic force, playing a crucial role in carrying out the Regiment's tasks in all aspects of its work. To ensure that young officers and cadres continue to contribute, develop, and mature, he directed that in the coming time, the Party committees and commanders of agencies and units need to pay closer attention to and comprehensively understand the thoughts, feelings, and ideology of young officers. It is necessary to actively create favorable conditions for young officers and cadres to strive, complete their tasks, and mature, preventing discouragement and loss of motivation. In addition, each young officer and cadre must truly understand the impact of society, especially actively cultivating their willpower, confidence, and vigilance against the incitement of evil elements and hostile forces. Young officers need to be pioneers, proactive, creative, and constantly cultivate patriotism and a spirit of determination to win; nurture a desire to contribute and consider it their purpose in life. They must overcome all difficulties and challenges, constantly improve themselves through study, research, and training; be active, dedicated, responsible, and passionate about their work, committed to their units, and become officers with sufficient qualities and capabilities, both politically sound and professionally competent, meeting the requirements and tasks of building and defending the Fatherland in the new situation.
