Gender equality communication program in Bat Xat district.
During the communication session, women from ethnic minority groups in the communes of Dền Thàng, Trung Lèng Hồ, Mường Vi, and Mường Hum received information from officials of the Provincial Women's Union on issues such as: gender inequality in ethnic minority and mountainous areas; gender stereotypes and prejudices that cause gender inequality; and experiences and solutions to enhance the role, voice, and participation of ethnic minority women in socio -economic development. With a concise, memorable, and easy-to-understand communication format, the program contributed to raising awareness among ethnic minority communities about gender equality, helping to build a civilized and happy life.
Along with strengthening communication activities, in recent times, the Women's Union at all levels has launched and established nearly 30 reliable support centers, including 2 pilot models at the provincial level, actively introducing necessary information and skills to provide timely assistance to victims of domestic violence.
