From a series of events dreaming about real numbers

The People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province recently held a conference to announce a series of cultural, sports, and tourism events for 2025, aiming to create a "railway" to attract tourists to Thanh Hoa.

Accordingly, among the 150 events announced at the conference planned to be held in Thanh Hoa province in 2025, there are 89 cultural events, 25 sports events, and 36 tourism events to serve the diverse needs of tourists and contribute to spreading the message "Thanh Hoa Tourism - The Beauty of Four Seasons".

In 2024, the diversification of cultural, sports, and tourism events at tourist areas and destinations in the region significantly contributed to attracting tourists, bringing the total number of tourists to 15.3 million, reaching 110.9% of the plan; total tourism revenue was estimated at 33,815 trillion VND, reaching 104.4% of the plan.

By 2025, Thanh Hoa province aims to welcome a larger number of tourists, reaching 16 million, with total revenue also expected to increase significantly to 45.5 trillion VND.

Although the targets are significantly higher than in 2024, with a large number of cultural, sports, and tourism events planned for the year, spread across various regions, tourist destinations, and distributed according to seasonal timeframes, it is hoped that the needs of many different customer segments will be met.

We can welcome a large number of tourists during the spring season who participate in cultural events, festivals, and sporting activities. Although the cost per person may not be high, the large number of participants in these tours will generate significant revenue. While autumn and winter are not peak seasons, special events such as the Pu Luong Forest Marathon; the Folk Arts Festival - Highland Market and the "Highland Flavors" Cultural Festival; and year-end Gala and New Year's Eve Countdown programs at tourist areas and attractions will also attract a considerable number of visitors, especially those seeking long-term stays with high spending power.

During the peak tourist season, Thanh Hoa province's coastal tourism advantages will see many major events organized, such as the Thanh Hoa specialty festival; a market showcasing and promoting OCOP products and Thanh Hoa cuisine; the Sam Son, Hai Tien, Hai Hoa, and Quang Xuong beach tourism festivals; a street festival - Carnival; and a music festival at Flamingo Ibiza Hai Tien...

Activities that promise rich cultural content and entertainment value, when announced early, will generate excitement, allowing tourists to manage their time effectively and enabling travel businesses to design tours catering to diverse customer groups.

However, whether this announcement will become a reality with the desired quality, specifically fulfilling the province's commitment to "Thanh Hoa Tourism - The Beauty of Four Seasons," depends heavily on the localities with tourist areas and attractions; tourism businesses; and especially the culture, sports, and tourism sector in managing destinations and organizing attractive and engaging events.
