Efforts to preserve and spread heritage

Over the years, Hai Phong has carried out a series of activities to preserve and promote the heritage value of Trang Trinh. The city has organized many in-depth scientific seminars on his life, career and contributions to the nation's history.

The special national relic of Nguyen Binh Khiem Temple has been planned, restored and embellished towards sustainable conservation. The Trang Trinh Temple Festival has also been listed as a national intangible cultural heritage, becoming a cultural and spiritual highlight of the locality.

At the same time, the city has collected and compiled documents related to his life and works. To date, the Campaign Committee has gathered a directory of nearly 500 documents, including 48 works by Nguyen Binh Khiem himself, hundreds of related studies and articles. This is an important foundation for the scientific dossier to be submitted to UNESCO in the near future.

Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hai Phong , Ms. Tran Thi Hoang Mai said that Hai Phong has long been known as the birthplace of many outstanding intellectuals, the most prominent of which is Trang Trinh Nguyen Binh Khiem. The 450th anniversary of his death in 2035 not only evokes gratitude but is also an opportunity to strengthen cultural identity and national pride for today's generations.

From a cultural perspective, we can see the local efforts in placing Nguyen Binh Khiem in the right position as an international celebrity. The values he left behind in terms of humanity, morality and chivalry are not only meaningful to the Vietnamese people but also have universal humanistic values, in line with the trend of honoring great intellectual figures in the world .

Towards UNESCO profile

The most notable mark in the series of activities is the survey of the Hai Phong - Trang Trinh spiritual tour, connecting the Mac Dynasty, Trang Trinh Temple and Mao Dien Temple of Literature. This journey recreates the cultural space where he lived - studied - taught, while creating a cultural tourism product with depth, contributing to spreading the value of the celebrity to the general public.

Hai Phong – Trang Trinh Spirit Tour is expected to become a unique and special tourism product of Hai Phong. With the combination of culture, history and cuisine, Trang Trinh Spirit promises to attract a large number of domestic and foreign tourists. From there, creating a unique tourism product, different from other localities.

In preparation for the 2035 milestone, Hai Phong is developing a medium-term capital investment plan for the 2026-2030 period to continue to restore the Trang Trinh relic system. The city will coordinate with specialized units to complete explanations, upgrade infrastructure and standardize tourism services, ensuring service quality when this cultural tour officially comes into operation.

The work of honoring Trang Trinh is not only the responsibility of the cultural sector, but also a common journey of the community to spread the beautiful values of Vietnamese intelligence. From the legacy of poetry and literature to humanistic thoughts, from academic imprints to folk influences, all of these values are being awakened and systematically connected, helping the image of Trang Trinh continue to shine in contemporary life.
