Ship 936 (Naval Academy) carried the delegation through six islands of varying sizes and stopped to visit the military and civilians at four locations: Nam Yet, Sinh Ton, Phan Vinh A, and Da Tay A. We brought gifts from the mainland and fresh water. In mid-April, Truong Sa had not yet received any rain, and the dry weather made fresh water even more precious.
Upon arriving on the island, we truly understood that life there was not easy, lacking in both material resources and living conditions. Yet, overcoming all obstacles, the officers and soldiers remained steadfast in their commitment to the island and its waters. They lived simply, optimistically, and were always ready to sacrifice for the Fatherland. It was this spirit that filled me with immense admiration and gratitude.

Beyond the soldiers, Truong Sa also boasts homes, schools, and the laughter of children, a testament to the indomitable spirit of the Vietnamese people amidst the vast ocean. This demonstrates that Truong Sa is not merely a place guarding sovereignty , but an inseparable part of the nation's flesh and blood.
Many people dream of visiting Truong Sa, experiencing a sea voyage, and immersing themselves in the lives of the soldiers stationed there. I am truly proud and fortunate to be a military officer working at the heroic Naval Academy, to have had the opportunity to experience this firsthand on a long sea voyage. Seeing these islands in the middle of the ocean, I felt they were like "living landmarks" affirming the sovereignty of our Fatherland.

The trip left each of us with countless unforgettable memories and many exciting activities on board. Although initially a little unfamiliar, everyone gradually got used to the rules and schedule. Most memorable were the morning and noon alarm bells and the three long whistles bidding farewell to the island upon arrival and departure. The cultural and artistic exchanges, painting competitions, and poetry writing contests were all very lively.
Perhaps I will never forget the overwhelming emotion I feel every time I set foot on the island. Standing silently before the red flag with a yellow star fluttering in the sea breeze, I understand that I am standing on sacred land of my homeland – a place where every inch of the island, every stretch of sea, has been preserved by the sweat, effort, and silent sacrifice of countless generations of soldiers.

Only by visiting the islands in person did we gain a deeper understanding of the history, traditions, and development of the Spratly Islands. Despite countless difficulties, the soldiers and civilians on the islands actively engage in farming, livestock raising, and vegetable cultivation to ensure their livelihoods. Amidst the vast ocean, with only sun, wind, white sand, and coral, the vitality of the Spratly Islands remains strong and unwavering.
Leaving Truong Sa, I still feel a deep sense of nostalgia. The trip left a profound impression, helping me mature both in my understanding and my character. I vowed to continue striving to improve myself, fulfilling my duties as a naval officer and instructor, and contributing my small part to the cause of firmly protecting the sacred sovereignty of our nation's seas and islands.
