“Determined to fight, determined to win, for the peaceful and happy life of the People”, that is the motto, the guiding principle for the actions of Major Hoang Minh Huan, an officer of the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team (CNCH) of Region 3 (in charge of communes of the old Dinh Lap and Loc Binh districts), under the Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Department (PCCC) and CNCH, Provincial Police.
Major Hoang Minh Huan shared: "When performing firefighting and rescue tasks, I feel like I have an order from my heart, with the highest spirit and determination, ready to face all challenges, difficulties, hardships, and dangers to successfully complete the assigned tasks, for the peaceful and happy life of the people."
With that spirit and motto, during his 12 years of work (from 2013 to present), he has directly participated in fighting 8 forest fires, 4 car fires, 14 house fires and 3 factory fires, along with many other small fires. Besides, he has also participated in search and rescue work, flood and storm prevention.
With 24 years of working in the Fire Prevention and Rescue Force, Lieutenant Colonel Chu Duc Kien, Deputy Captain of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Team, Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, Provincial Police, has participated in many firefighting cases. Lieutenant Colonel Chu Duc Kien shared: In the past 5 years, my teammates and I have participated in over 100 firefighting cases. My teammates and I are always proud to wear the firefighter uniform, no matter what happens, we always keep in mind that when performing our duties, we must not be afraid or falter and always remind ourselves "Saving people's lives and property is first and foremost".
The Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, the Provincial Police currently has many professional teams, including 5 teams directly performing firefighting and rescue tasks, with a total of over 100 officers and soldiers. Currently, these professional teams are assigned areas of responsibility, ensuring that 100% of the areas in the province have firefighting forces to carry out their tasks as quickly as possible when a fire or explosion occurs.
Lieutenant Colonel Bui Huy Khanh, Head of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, Provincial Police, said: In order to improve the quality and fighting strength of officers and soldiers, in recent times, the unit has always paid attention to doing well the political and ideological education, organizing training, physical training, and willpower for officers and soldiers. The unit also regularly organizes for officers and soldiers to improve their knowledge, train to improve professional skills, fully equip them with personal protective equipment; is on duty 24/7, ready to respond quickly, be present in time when fires, explosions, incidents, and accidents occur... In firefighting and rescue incidents, officers and soldiers in the unit always show the spirit of intelligence, courage, regardless of danger and difficulties, and make every effort for the safety of the people.
According to statistics, in the past 5 years, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, the Provincial Police has mobilized thousands of officers and soldiers, along with many vehicles and equipment to fight fires, with a total of nearly 150 fires and 50 fire incidents. In the process of fighting the "fire", firefighters face many difficulties and dangers; not only the danger from fire, pressure from smoke, toxic gases in the fire, but even houses and factories on fire can collapse at any time. Each fire is a "battle" with a completely different "scenario", requiring the intelligence, courage and creativity of the commander and officers and soldiers, because if there is just a little negligence, the officers and soldiers participating in fire fighting and rescue can be victims...
With skillful, flexible skills and close coordination, over the past time, the firefighters of the Provincial Police have overcome all obstacles, successfully controlled fires, saved people and property for the people and ensured the safety of the force. For them, the greatest joy is the peace in every house, street corner, village, and the happiness of the people.
