The Temple of the Two Sisters is located on the left bank of the Red River, in Kim Quang village, Kim Son commune (now Bao Ha commune). The temple's name is associated with two historical figures revered by the people. According to legend, in the 13th century, during the Tran Dynasty's resistance against the Yuan-Mongol invaders, two young women volunteered to fight alongside the army, contributing to the defense of the country. In a fierce battle in the Bai Liem area – a region now belonging to Bao Ha – the two women bravely sacrificed their lives. To commemorate and honor the contributions of these two heroines, the local people erected a temple, called the Temple of the Two Sisters.
Over time, the temple has not only served as a place of religious and spiritual worship for the local people but also holds profound historical and cultural value. Recognizing this significance, on December 28, 2018, the Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 4349 classifying the Hai Co Temple as a provincial-level historical and cultural relic.

The Hai Co Temple Festival is held annually on the 20th and 21st of the first lunar month, also known as the Feast of the Goddesses. The event attracts hundreds of locals and tourists from all over.
In particular, at the beginning of 2026, the Hai Co Temple relic site was started construction and restoration (phase 1) by the People's Committee of Bao Ha commune, with construction items including: the main temple, the left wing, the right wing, the management office, the incense burning shrine, etc., bringing joy and pride to the people of Bao Ha commune, and at the same time creating another meaningful spiritual destination for tourists from all over.
Immediately following the solemn ceremony, the festival unfolded with great enthusiasm, attracting a large number of local people and tourists from all over. Many unique cultural and sporting activities were organized, most notably traditional folk games such as: raft racing on Kim Quang Lake, stick pushing, blindfolded duck catching, and walking on a single-plank bridge…

As part of the festival, a welcoming cultural program featuring nearly 20 unique performances by amateur actors from villages and hamlets in the commune took place on the evening of March 8th, attracting a large number of local people and tourists to attend and cheer.

Cultural performances to welcome the festival.
