She said that despite her advanced age and frail health, her mother always wanted to personally cast her vote on election day to choose worthy representatives.
Sharing her thoughts with us, Ms. Huyen expressed her hope that the delegates trusted by the voters would pay more attention to the promulgation and implementation of policies to care for the lives of veterans, former youth volunteers, and those who have made many contributions and sacrifices for the country.
This morning, the polling stations strictly followed legal regulations, creating favorable conditions for voters to fully participate in the voting process. According to the Quang Tri Provincial Election Committee, as of 7:00 AM on March 15th, the province had nearly 1.2 million voters; the locality had established 4 election committees for the 16th National Assembly; 20 election committees for the Provincial People's Council for the 2026-2031 term; 497 election committees for the People's Councils at the commune and ward levels; and 1,512 polling stations to organize the elections throughout the province.
From early morning, a large number of voters were present at polling stations throughout Quang Tri province to exercise their rights and civic duties. In the northern part of Quang Tri province, in the border commune of Dan Hoa, the election proceeded smoothly thanks to thorough preparations made in advance.
As a mountainous border commune adjacent to Laos, it is home to a large concentration of ethnic minorities. Due to harsh natural conditions and poor transportation infrastructure, the socio -economic life of the people remains challenging, with a poverty rate of 91.51%. A significant portion of the population consists of the Pa Co-Van Kieu and Chut ethnic groups.
In the joyful atmosphere of election day, voter Ho Thi Nang (42 years old), a Chut ethnic minority from Ka Ai village, Dan Hoa commune, woke up early, chose her best clothes, and went with her family to the polling station at the Ka Ai village cultural center. Ms. Nang said that, thanks to the local government and various organizations' efforts in disseminating information and guiding the villagers on the meaning, rights, and responsibilities of voters in the election, everyone in the village understands the importance of participating in this great national event.
“Today, on election day, I feel very happy and proud to exercise my civic right. We hope that the elected representatives will pay more attention to the lives of ethnic minority people, especially those in mountainous and border communes that still face many difficulties. We hope that the new term will bring more policies to support economic development, improve transportation, healthcare, and education... in order to gradually improve the lives of people in border areas,” Ms. Nang expressed.

On election day for the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term, Dan Hoa commune had 16 polling stations with over 5,600 voters. The polling stations were arranged scientifically and decorated solemnly, creating an atmosphere of enthusiasm for voters to exercise their rights and civic duties.
Thanks to intensified propaganda and mobilization efforts through various forms suitable to local conditions, voters in the area have clearly understood the process and actively participated in voting.
The atmosphere on election day was democratic, orderly, and safe, reflecting the sense of responsibility and trust of the people in choosing worthy representatives to represent their will and aspirations.
The election organization at the polling stations was meticulously prepared, ensuring solemnity and adherence to regulations, creating favorable conditions for voters to exercise their right to self-governance.
Speaking with us, Mr. Dinh Minh Thao, Chairman of the People's Committee of Dan Hoa commune, said that so far, voting in the commune has been proceeding smoothly, safely, and in accordance with regulations.
Expectations and beliefs together will lead our homeland forward.

With joy radiating from her face, Ms. Ho Thi Lang (32 years old), a Pa Co ethnic minority voter from Ky Ne village, La Lay commune, happily said: "Today I feel very happy and proud to go to the polls. From early morning, we made plans to cross the mountains and streams of Pa Ling to reach the polling station to fulfill our civic responsibility and duty. We hope to elect representatives who care more about the lives of people in the border region..."
As a mountainous commune with a large geographical area and over 90% of its population being Pa Co-Van Kieu ethnic minorities, facing many transportation difficulties, however, thanks to thorough preparation in propaganda and mobilization efforts, on this great national event, a large number of voters in the commune arrived at the polling stations early to exercise their rights and civic duties. The entire commune has 9 polling stations with over 5,000 voters.
This morning, the election atmosphere was enthusiastic, orderly, and in accordance with regulations; polling stations actively guided and supported voters, ensuring that all citizens could participate in voting conveniently, contributing to the success of the election day.
According to Mr. Pham Xuan Khanh, Secretary of the Party Committee of La Lay commune, the atmosphere at polling stations throughout the commune was enthusiastic and solemn from early morning. A large number of voters, especially the Pa Co-Van Kieu ethnic minority, arrived at polling stations early to exercise their rights and civic duties. The election organization was meticulously prepared, with polling stations guiding voters to follow the correct procedures, ensuring democracy, safety, and compliance with regulations. Not only in border areas, but also in central and coastal regions, the election atmosphere was vibrant, orderly, and safe.
Each voter's ballot not only reflects their rights and civic responsibilities but also conveys their trust and expectations in representatives who possess sufficient virtue and talent to represent the will and aspirations of the people, contributing to the development of Quang Tri province.

Joining in the great national celebration, at polling station number 2 in Dong Trach commune, Quang Tri province, fisherman Nguyen Bang (46 years old) also arranged his time at sea to be present and participate in voting for representatives to the 16th National Assembly and representatives to the People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.
Mr. Bang said that he and the local fishermen hope that the delegates they elect will be people of virtue, talent, dedication, and responsibility. They hope the delegates will continue to care for and improve the lives of fishermen; always stand alongside the people, implement policies to support the development of the marine economy, and contribute to raising incomes and stabilizing the lives of people in coastal areas.
Previously, on March 8, 2026, Quang Tri province successfully held early voting for the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term, seven days earlier than the national election day, in three polling areas within Truong Son commune: Polling area No. 13 (Doc May village), polling area No. 16 (Hoi Ray village), and polling area No. 17 (Nuoc Dang village). On March 9, 2026, the Quang Tri Provincial Election Committee also issued Report No. 64/BC-UBBC to the National Election Council on the situation of early voting in the aforementioned areas.
From mountainous and border regions to coastal areas and urban centers, each voter casts a ballot, entrusting their faith and expectations to exemplary representatives who will embody the will and aspirations of the people. This election day further affirms the spirit of unity and responsibility of the people of Quang Tri province, contributing to strengthening voters' trust in the Party and the State, and opening up expectations for a new term with many practical policies for the sustainable development of the homeland and the country.
