AI applications in tourism management

On April 4th, the Hanoi Department of Tourism organized a conference titled "Sharing Experiences in Applying AI in Professional Work" to enhance the digital capabilities of its staff and officials in using technology, especially AI applications in management.

The Hanoi Department of Tourism organized a training conference on the use of AI platforms in tourism management.

Speaking at the conference, Director of the Hanoi Department of Tourism, Dang Huong Giang, stated that in order to implement Plan No. 402/KH-UBND dated December 31, 2024, of the Hanoi People's Committee on digital transformation and building a smart Hanoi city by 2025; the City People's Committee's plan to implement Resolution No. 03/NQ-CP dated January 9, 2025, of the Government promulgating the Action Program to implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024, of the Politburo on "Breakthrough in the development of science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation"; and Plan No. 47/KH-SDL dated April 1, 2025, of the Department of Tourism on digital transformation and application of information technology in 2025, the Department of Tourism organized a conference to disseminate, train, and popularize basic digital skills, data analysis and exploitation skills, and digital technology.

The Hanoi Department of Tourism will apply AI applications in tourism management and promotion.

This is a professional activity aimed at enhancing the digital capabilities of the Department's staff and officials through the effective access and application of artificial intelligence (AI) platforms in management activities. Furthermore, improving skills in using AI platforms will contribute to the Department of Tourism's effective application in promoting tourism in the capital city.

"Through this conference, all officials and employees will gain valuable knowledge and experience to apply to their work, contributing to building a more modern, efficient, and better-serving administrative system for the capital city," Ms. Dang Huong Giang shared.

At the conference, tourism managers were introduced to modern AI technology applications such as Hanoi Virtual Assistant, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemma, Llama, etc. In addition, participants experienced several AI-integrated technology products, such as the ASUS NUC 14 Pro AI computer, which optimizes work thanks to AI Copilot+, quickly handles office tasks, analyzes data, and supports creative work.

The conference is the result of effective cooperation between government agencies and technology companies in the era of digital transformation.
