Sheena Kapoor, a dermatologist in India, said that when the body is dehydrated, hair will lose its natural shine, become dry like straw, brittle, and difficult to style. Hair also loses its natural elasticity, and can break with just a light pull.

Dehydration reduces blood flow to the scalp, limiting the delivery of nutrients and oxygen to hair follicles. This reduces the ability of new hair to grow, while existing hair becomes weaker and more prone to falling out than normal.

Not only that, water also plays an important role in the cell regeneration process. Without enough water, the body will be slow to create new hair cells and have difficulty replacing damaged hair.

Eat foods with lots of water

Limit drinks that cause dehydration

Coffee, tea, soda, and alcohol all have diuretic effects, which can cause your body to lose water more quickly. You should limit these drinks to keep your hair healthy.
