Currently, Hung Yen province has approximately 500 hectares of lychee orchards, mainly concentrated in Phu Cu and An Thi districts. Of these, Phu Cu district alone accounts for about 400 hectares. This year, the province's total lychee production is estimated at nearly 400 tons.
As of June 12th, An Thi district has harvested over 80% of its lychee crop. It is expected that most orchard owners will have completed their harvest by June 15th.
In Phu Cu district, it is expected that by June 20th, all localities will have finished harvesting this year's lychee crop.
Overall, the selling price of egg-shaped lychees at the end of the season has decreased by 10-15% compared to the beginning of the season. However, first-grade lychees are still sought after by customers, with prices at the farm ranging from 120,000 to 150,000 VND/kg.
