Since the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and the reunification of the country (April 30, 1975), along with the development of the economy and society, literature and art in Dong Nai have made continuous progress. This is reflected in the fact that Dong Nai has many outstanding works of literature and art that have won prestigious awards at competitions, festivals, and exhibitions both domestically and internationally, and at the same time, there have been many prominent and reputable artists in various fields.

For example, during the period 1979-1990, Dong Nai's arts and culture boasted prominent figures such as writers Ly Van Sam, Hoang Van Bon, and Hoang Kim Chung. In the period 1991-2000, Dong Nai produced outstanding works and authors in the fields of theater, fine arts, music , photography, and folk art. Of particular note are the monumental sculptures in various materials by sculptors Tran Thanh Thanh, Sy Nguyen, and Pham Muoi, which have contributed to enhancing the beauty of Dong Nai's land and people.

From 2001 to the present, Dong Nai's arts and culture sector has made remarkable progress in both quantity and quality, breadth and depth, increasingly affirming its important role in the cause of national construction and defense. As of 2024, the Dong Nai Arts and Culture Association has nearly 300 members, operating in 9 specialized fields. Works of art and culture increasingly reflect the true life and people of Dong Nai with their unique nuances within the multifaceted overall picture of the country's renewal period in general and Dong Nai in particular.

However, it must be frankly acknowledged that, despite significant progress, the arts and culture of Dong Nai have not yet developed to their full potential. There is a lack of major works that truly explore the depth of the land and people of Dong Nai, rich in tradition, dynamism, and compassion. Furthermore, the promotion and introduction of these works have not kept pace with modern trends, resulting in limited reach and effectiveness. Dong Nai also lacks large-scale platforms to strongly foster the aspirations and creative abilities of its artists and writers.

The country in general and our province in particular are entering a new stage of development with faith in innovation and strong integration to become rich and prosperous. Therefore, arts and culture must also "stretch themselves" creatively, producing many works that reflect the breath of life and the stature of the times. Furthermore, arts and culture must anticipate and predict future developments, thereby contributing to guiding and creating consensus in society, spreading goodness and beauty so that life becomes increasingly better…
