On October 9, producer Silver Moonlight and young director Oscar Duong announced the first images and information about the movie project Money Trap .
This is the first Vietnamese film to bring the reality of phone fraud to the big screen. Besides the thrilling and suspenseful elements, Money Trap is also a story about love and family - messages close to the audience.

Although it is a new topic in the Vietnamese film market, it is not too unfamiliar to daily life when society has more and more information about phone fraud cases in many different forms.
According to producer Hang Trinh, to realistically portray this painful reality, director Oscar Duong chose to exploit the story of a financial employee.
During the implementation process, the team proactively approached, interviewed and exploited experts in the fields of accounting, finance - banking, through lawyers and especially the psychology of today's young people revolving around financial perspectives, dreams and motivation to make money.
Director Oscar Duong believes that in order to deliver a film with a good social message, the prerequisite is to accurately reflect the current social situation. He is confident that the film will take the audience into an engaging and captivating story.
In particular, instead of just focusing on the crime-solving aspect, the film focuses on the psychology of the person being deceived, the panic of being caught in a financial "trap" and the hidden corners behind it.

Lien Binh Phat plays the male lead in the film. Director Oscar Duong admitted that the process of finding the main actor for Money Trap was the biggest challenge.
Talking about the reason for choosing Lien Binh Phat for the male lead role, he said that Phat was not the first choice, but on the contrary, it was the last choice. After many casting rounds with a series of talented and popular male actors, he still felt that something was missing to make a decision.
In the first image revealed by the crew, Lien Binh Phat appeared in the center with an unpredictable expression, holding and looking intently at his phone. The tagline "Change your life or change your destiny?" also caught the attention of the audience.
The film is scheduled to be released nationwide from November 21.
