On October 9-10, Silver Moonlight producers and young director Oscar Duong released the first images and information about their feature film project, "Money Trap" .
This is the first Vietnamese film to bring the reality of phone scams to the big screen. Besides the thrilling and suspenseful elements, " Money Trap" is also a story about love and family – messages that resonate with audiences.

Although it's a new topic for the Vietnamese film market, it's not entirely unfamiliar to everyday life, as society is increasingly aware of various forms of phone scams.
According to producer Hang Trinh, to realistically portray this pressing issue, director Oscar Duong chose to explore the perspective from the story of a financial employee.
During the process, the team proactively approached, interviewed, and gathered information from experts in accounting, finance, and banking, through lawyers, and especially from the mindset of young people today regarding their views on finance, dreams, and motivations for earning money.
Director Oscar Duong believes that to deliver a film with a good social message, the essential element is accurately reflecting the current social situation. He is confident that the film will draw viewers into a captivating and engaging story.
In particular, instead of focusing solely on the crime-solving aspect, the film emphasizes the psychology of the victim, the panic of being caught in a financial "trap," and the hidden aspects behind it.

Liên Bỉnh Phát plays the male lead in the film. Director Oscar Dương admitted that the process of finding the lead actor for "Money Trap" was the biggest challenge.
Speaking about the reason for choosing Lien Binh Phat for the lead role, he said that Phat wasn't his first choice, but rather his last. After many rounds of casting with a host of talented and popular male actors, he still felt something was missing before making a decision.
In the first image revealed by the production team, Lien Binh Phat appears in the center with an unreadable expression, holding and intently looking at his phone. The tagline "Change your life or change your fate?" also caught the audience's attention.
The film is scheduled to be released nationwide starting November 21st.
