What is pure gold?

Pure gold, also known as pure gold, contains up to 99.99% gold, with the remaining 0.01% being other impurities. Pure gold is widely used in the electronics industry due to its excellent thermal and electrical conductivity. Additionally, pure gold can be processed to create high-end jewelry.

There are four types of pure gold available on the market: 10K gold, 14K gold, 18K gold, and 24K gold.

- 24K gold, also known as pure gold, is considered the best quality gold, containing only about 0.01% impurities. 24K gold is usually cast into bars or flattened into sheets for storage.

- 18K gold contains 75% gold, with the remainder being a mixture of other metals such as copper, aluminum, or silver. 18K gold is primarily used in jewelry making workshops.

- 14K gold contains 58.3% gold; its color is not as bright as 18K and 24K gold, but it is still used to make necklaces, rings, bracelets, etc.

- 10K gold contains only 41% pure gold, mainly a mixture of alloyed metals. 10K gold is harder and more durable than other types of gold, but after a period of use, it will tarnish due to the oxidation of the metals in the gold.

What is white gold?

White gold is not a naturally occurring metal; it cannot be mined like pure gold. In fact, white gold is an alloy created by mixing gold with various other metals. Gold typically makes up about 58.3% (14k gold) to 75% (18k gold), with the remainder being other precious metals such as palladium, nickel, platinum, nickel, and silver.

The percentage of each metal varies depending on the formula and manufacturing process. White gold is used in jewelry making because of its lower cost and ease of crafting into a wide variety of beautiful and diverse jewelry designs.

Which is more expensive, white gold or yellow gold?

Pure gold has a significantly higher gold content than white gold. Therefore, pure gold is definitely more expensive than white gold. Furthermore, the price difference between the two types of gold varies depending on the brand.

White gold is highly valued for its durability and beautiful color, yet it is significantly cheaper than pure gold.

Pure gold has the advantage of durability and stable value, so it is used as a store of value and for exchange. Meanwhile, white gold is also very durable and is widely used in the crafting of jewelry. White gold is cheaper, making it more affordable for many people.

Therefore, if you are considering buying pure gold or white gold, consider your needs. If you want to buy it as a stable asset for wealth accumulation, choose pure gold. But if you want to buy beautiful jewelry at a reasonable price that still has value, then you should choose white gold.
