One of the highlights of the festival is the artistic portrait recreating a historical setting with the theme: "Nguyen Tat Thanh and his father Nguyen Sinh Sac - Before Dawn (1911)".
Created specifically for the 3rd Dong Thap Lotus Festival in 2026, the artistic portrait recreating the historical context with the theme "Nguyen Tat Thanh and his father Nguyen Sinh Sac - Before Dawn (1911)" by artist Mai Van Nhon is a unique work of art.
The artwork was created using the lotus flower photo mosaic technique with over 15,000 lotus flower images, measuring 8m x 14m, covering an area of 112m². This artwork was awarded a Vietnam Record at the opening ceremony.

In his opening remarks, Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Thap province, Pham Thanh Ngai, said: "This year's Lotus Festival takes place at a time when Dong Thap is entering a new stage of development. The lotus flower, along with other products of Dong Thap, will be created on the foundation of the good values that have been cultivated over many generations."
The province now has more opportunities to exploit its local potential and advantages, build Dong Thap into a faster-developing and more sustainable province, and improve the quality of life for its people.”
"The province views this not only as a cultural and tourism activity but also as an opportunity to promote its image, showcase its potential, attract investment, and create further impetus for local development," emphasized Pham Thanh Ngai, Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Thap province.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee expressed his wish that every citizen of Dong Thap would continue to be an ambassador promoting the image of their homeland; that each lotus product would tell a story about the culture and people of the Land of Pink Lotuses. He hoped that every visitor to Dong Thap would carry with them beautiful impressions of this land of kindness, friendliness, and a strong desire to progress.
The festival takes place from June 18-21 at Van Mieu Park, Van Mieu Square, and on several streets in Cao Lanh ward.
