'Coming second is also a failure'

V-League 2023 was an unsuccessful season for Hanoi FC. The capital team unfortunately missed out on the championship due to being behind Hanoi Police Club in the secondary index. In the National Cup, they also failed to reach the final.

Hanoi FC has many changes before entering the 2023/2024 season. The capital team has recruited many foreign players, in which striker Joel Tagueu impressed in the first two matches of the AFC Champions League. In addition, Pham Xuan Manh and Nguyen Van Hoang are also notable factors who have recently joined Hanoi FC.
