Train and bus tickets for Tet increase early

The railway industry has opened ticket sales for the 2026 Lunar New Year from September 20, with prices increasing by 5-10% compared to last year, with the highest price being over 3.7 million VND for the Saigon - Hanoi route.

For aviation, the peak period lasts from February 2 to March 3, 2026 (ie from December 15 to January 15 of the lunar calendar), with a total of more than 3.5 million seats sold on the entire domestic and international flight network, an increase of nearly 20% over the same period last year.

Airlines recommend that passengers proactively plan and book tickets early to have a suitable itinerary, and note to only buy tickets through ticket offices, official agents or on the airline's mobile application or website to avoid the risk of fake tickets or tickets being overpriced during peak seasons.
