(Baohatinh.vn) - On the occasion of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19th), a large number of people from all over the country respectfully visited the Kim Lien National Special Historical Site (Nghe An) to express their profound gratitude to him.

To commemorate the 136th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2026), his hometown – "Lang Sen, his father's hometown," "Hoang Tru, his mother's hometown" (Kim Lien commune, Nghe An province) – is a significant place for people from all over the country to come and offer incense, pay respects, and express their reverence.

In May, the delicate fragrance of lotus flowers permeates the countryside of Nghe An province, bringing visitors a sense of peace and tranquility when they come to visit President Ho Chi Minh's hometown.

In Hoang Tru village, the birthplace of President Ho Chi Minh, many visitors have come to offer incense, visit the site, and listen to simple stories about his life.

Many visitors were moved when they had the opportunity to see firsthand the artifacts and documents steeped in history at the maternal hometown of President Ho Chi Minh. Ms. Vu Hanh Thu (born in 1955, Dong Da Ward, Hanoi ) shared: “I am a veteran, and I studied and followed the example of Uncle Ho during the war years. Today, with the country at peace, visiting Uncle Ho's hometown in May makes me remember him even more and engrave in my heart the simple yet profound teachings he gave to today's generation.”

At his ancestral village of Lang Sen, groups of tourists come to lay flowers and visit memorial spaces associated with President Ho Chi Minh's childhood, such as the five-room thatched house, the house of his father, Nguyen Sinh Sac, the Coc well, and the lotus pond…

Many people couldn't hide their emotions, choked with tears as they listened to stories about President Ho Chi Minh's simple childhood years. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Nga (Nghia Do ward, Hanoi) shared: " This pilgrimage to President Ho Chi Minh's hometown is incredibly meaningful for each of us. It's not only an opportunity to remember our beloved leader but also a reminder of his teachings, to live better lives, and to be more responsible towards our families and society... "

Every step back into the Kim Lien National Special Historical Site today is not only a journey of sightseeing and offering incense in remembrance, but also an opportunity for each person to better understand and cherish the simple yet noble values ​​that President Ho Chi Minh left behind; thereby reminding themselves to live more responsibly, and to continue learning from and following his thoughts, ethics, and style.

From the end of April until now, the Kim Lien National Special Historical Site has welcomed more than 5,800 groups with over 55,000 visitors who came to lay flowers and sightsee. Anticipating a surge in visitors in May, the site management has made thorough preparations, arranging a suitable team of guides and interpreters to ensure a solemn and convenient visiting environment.

Thanks to this, each pilgrimage to President Ho Chi Minh's birthplace is not only safe and well-organized but also becomes a meaningful journey, contributing to the profound dissemination of the cultural, historical, and revolutionary traditions of Nghe An province.
