According to Vietnam Social Insurance, health insurance cards without expiry dates not only help save costs of printing and issuing health insurance cards, but also make it easier for health insurance participants to use health insurance cards long-term, without having to waste time. Time for completing procedures and waiting to change annual health insurance card as before. Accordingly, ensuring full and timely health insurance benefits of beneficiaries when they need a health insurance card to go for medical examination and treatment.
When people participate in health insurance, the participant's information (including cases of information change), including information about the expiration date of the health insurance card, is fully recorded in the database of the social insurance agency. . The payment receipt issued by the social insurance agency to the participant to keep also shows the expiration date of the health insurance card.
Before 30 days of card expiration, the social insurance agency sends the List of participants in voluntary social insurance and health insurance to collection service organizations to inform and notify participants to register to continue paying health insurance to maintain the validity period. – Through the Customer Care Call Center of Vietnam Social Insurance: People contact the Call Center at 1900 9068 to receive information.
– Contact directly with the social insurance agency and social insurance collection service organizations where participating in health insurance.
