On July 4th, actress Viet Huong was named the winner in the Best Actress in a Vietnamese Film category at the 4th Da Nang Asian Film Festival (DANAFF) for her role as Mrs. Hau in the film "Grandma's Golden Cluster" .

Upon being announced as the winner, Viet Huong stated that this was the second consecutive year she had won the Best Actress award in the Vietnamese Film Competition category at DANAFF. She considered the award a valuable recognition of her efforts in pursuing her artistic career.


Viet Huong said she had missed the opportunity to attend DANAFF last year. Being in Da Nang and standing on stage to receive the award this time is especially meaningful. In the Vietnamese film competition category, this year's awards ceremony saw several surprising results. "Battle in the Air" was named Best Vietnamese Film, beating out several notable contenders such as "Red Rain ," "Abandoning My Mother ," and "Hero . " "Money Trap" won Best Screenplay.
The film "Searching for Long Diem Huong" won the Special Jury Prize. Director Duong Minh Chien was awarded Best Director for his work. In the Best Actor category for a Vietnamese film in competition, Thai Hoa was honored after a performance highly praised by critics.
DANAFF IV, held from June 28th to July 4th with the theme "Bridges of Asia," brought together over 100 films from approximately 30 countries and territories. During the week-long festival, hundreds of screenings, professional workshops, and networking events with artists were organized, attracting a large audience and industry professionals alike.
The closing ceremony brought together many prominent figures of Vietnamese cinema such as People's Artist Tran Luc, director Bui Thac Chuyen, director Nguyen Quang Dung, Meritorious Artist Mai Thu Huyen, Tang Thanh Ha, Ma Ran Do, Le Ha Anh, Thuy Anh, Hoang Ha, along with many international artists and filmmakers.
