Farewell to NSNA Hoang Thach Van

On the afternoon of June 24, the family and the Ho Chi Minh City Photography Association confirmed the death of artist Hoang Thach Van.

Artist Hoang Thach Van is currently Vice President of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists and Head of the Southern Office of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists in Ho Chi Minh City.

He was born on October 26, 1959, and achieved the title EVAPA/G (Gold Excellence Artist of Vietnam Association of Photographic Artist) - Outstanding Photographic Artist - the highest title of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, in 2014.

In 2018, the Wa-Ha Ceremony photo series by Hoang Thach Van won the Special Prize in the Photo Series category at the Heritage Photography Award - Heritage Journey (this award is organized by Heritage Magazine ( Vietnam Airlines ).

Artist Hoang Thach Van started his photography career at the Gia Dinh Photography Club (under the Ho Chi Minh City Photography Association). His works focus on the themes of nature, the beauty of the country and the beauty of the working people. He has been associated with many photography awards in Ho Chi Minh City, and for many years has been an organizer or judge of the Ho Chi Minh City Traditional Art Photography Festival (the competition has been held for 48 seasons this year).
