The list published by Hoppa has revealed the 10 most attractive tourist destinations in Asia. Leading the list is the Great Wall of China. Other popular Asian destinations include Mount Fuji (Japan), the Forbidden City (China), and the Taj Mahal (India). Ha Long Bay – a top must-see destination for foreign tourists visiting Vietnam – proudly ranks 5th on this list.

Previously, in April 2019, CNN also ranked Ha Long Bay among the top 25 most beautiful tourist destinations in the world. According to CNN, Ha Long Bay is the most beautiful tourist destination in Vietnam, and also one of the most famous natural attractions in Southeast Asia. CNN selected Ha Long Bay alongside other famous landmarks such as El Nido Island (Philippines), the Maldives, Svalbard Island (Norway), Positan fishing village (Italy), Lake District (USA)... Ha Long Bay was one of only two Southeast Asian destinations to be selected.

Currently, Ha Long Bay offers a diverse range of tourism options for visitors: sightseeing, cultural tourism, ecotourism, and entertainment and shopping. With tourism products and services in the bay constantly being diversified, improved in quality, and developed sustainably, the heritage bay has become an attractive destination on the Vietnamese tourism map.

In 2018, Ha Long Bay welcomed approximately 4.1 million visitors, a 4% increase compared to the same period, including 2.82 million international visitors, a 4% increase compared to the same period in 2017.
