Vietnam's stock market in the 5-6 trading session was quite positive. Although the liquidity decreased slightly compared to the explosive session at the end of last week, it remained at a good level with the total trading value on the two official exchanges still remaining over 2 billion dong, if including UpCom, the liquidity exceeded 19.000 billion dong.
Banking stocks continued to be the focus of the market, causing the VN-Index to increase by more than 10 points at one point and re-establish the 1.100-point mark but then slightly decreased again. In which, many banking stocks have surpassed the peak in March such as VCB up 3%, SHB up 3,27%, KB up 2,5%, LPB up 5,8%...
However, some banking stocks also turned down like TCB, STB, ACB, EIB, TPB... Steel stocks also accelerated with POM hitting the limit, HSG up 2,3%, NKG up 2,5, 1%, HPG up nearly 2,17%… In addition, energy stocks also kept a good gain with TMP hitting the ceiling, GAS up 2,22%, PLX up 2,2%, POW up 2,23%, PGV up 2%, NT2,13 up 4,79%, PPC up XNUMX%…
Meanwhile, securities and real estate stocks traded poorly. Specifically, securities stocks with VND down 1,37%, VCI down 1,86%, HCM down 2,01%, FTS down 3,52%, BSI down 2,96%, ORS down 2,41%, CTS fell 3,61%… Many real estate stocks also fell deeply such as NVL down 2,53%, KBC down 2,62%, DIG down 2,75%, NLG down 1,85%, DXG down 3,3 %, CII down 2,2%, CRE down 3,33%, DXS down 2,39%… contributed to narrowing VN-Index's gain.
Closing the session, VN-Index only gained 6,98 points (0,64%) with 201 advancers, 39 unchanged stocks and 199 decliners. Closing the session on HNX, HNX-Index also gained 0,53 points (0,24%) with 97 gainers, 100 decliners and 136 unchanged stocks. Liquidity still improved with the total trading value on 3 exchanges reaching over 20.000 billion dong.
